The included magazines are probably my biggest complaint. They are extremely light and feel somewhat cheap compared to other GBB mags I’ve used, and the lack of a viewing window for remaining BBs is disappointing. Gas filling was also inconsistent at first — my Matrix propane adapter barely worked with them — but after some experimenting, I found the Madbull adapter and Swiss Arms green gas worked much better. I ended up picking up two additional 45-round Maruyama mags, and I’d strongly recommend running at least 3–5 mags for a better experience. As a bonus, my AAP-01 50-round magazines worked flawlessly as well.
The stock iron sights are not very usable, so I’d highly recommend adding a red dot. I mounted a Vortex Sparc, which fits the look perfectly and dramatically improves usability. Just keep in mind that mounting an optic means removing the carry handle, which makes opening the platform slightly less convenient.
Overall, this is a very fun and practical secondary weapon system, especially for indoor games or as a compact backup alongside a sniper setup like an SRS. I also found that carrying it strapped to my chest rig worked much better than using the included sling mount. Despite a few shortcomings, it’s a unique and enjoyable platform that I’d definitely recommend to anyone looking for a compact SMG or machine-pistol style setup.
