Don't let this review necessarily change your mind about this product, because like the 74m, this thing is a beast, but i have a few gapping flaws that the 74u has that the 74m doesn't; first of all this was THE biggest issue for me, do NOT buy the 74u plum magazines, they use an odd hybrid design between a VFC ppsh-41 valve and the 74m valve, this design results in less gas efficiency, is more prone to leakage, and causes some crazy hopup inconsistency. get the black 74m magazines if you don't wanna replace the valves out of the box, if you do opt for plum mags, the 74m valve replacement part can be found on Redwolf and maybe proact (part #06-12 on the ak-74m exploded view). the second problem is the full auto issues this gun had out of the box, with odd hiccups and stuttering and occasionally locking up and just venting gas. i assume this was the break-in period because now it works flawlessly. the full auto issues might also be related to QC and tolerancing, though i would have no idea, so be wary. i noticed on mine that the dust cover is for the most part stiff but still has 0.1-0.15mm of play, might spoil zero, but I've been running a dot on a b-18y Zenitco mount and its been perfectly fine. another small thing is under the dust cover, you will find something that looks like 2 solid rivets which seem to be the things securing the rear sight to the dust cover, there have very noticeable and non-negligible contact with the bolt (or at least they did for me). these 2 rivet pins would scrape against the bolt and slow it down significantly, and leaving a long scrape mark across the top of the bolt, i filed off about 1.25-1.5mm of material off of each rivet and this solved the interference. these are basically all of the issues that i have experienced with my gun (my aks-74u was batch 2) and i have solved all of them and i love this gun.
Shipped fast. Amazing customer service and products :)
